My journey began in the 1970s, fueled by a youthful obsession with understanding the inner workings of Electronics and a relentless passion for discovery. Decades later, that same thirst for knowledge remains my primary driver, leading me to diversify across an array of complex technical and strategic fields.
Broadcast & Communications Infrastructure
I built a foundational expertise in Supply and Maintenance within the heart of the UK’s media landscape. My work spanned the full spectrum of broadcast technology—from TV and Radio Transmission to Outside Broadcast, Studio operations, and Playout facilities—collaborating with industry leaders such as the BBC, NTL (IBA), and Virgin Media.
National Security & Critical Resilience
Transitioning into high-stakes environments where outcomes are human-life critical, I contributed to the resilience of the UK’s essential services. This included pivotal roles with:
The Home Office Directorate of Telecommunications: Supporting the vital communications infrastructure for Police, Fire, and Ambulance services.
The Cabinet Office & UKWMO: Engaging in resilience planning and nuclear civil defence (NSCWIP) to ensure national stability during crises. making IT & Communicaitions resilient to all manner of risks. i am olso a member of the Emergency Planning Society & activly involved with Projects to deliver the Emergency Broadcast message system for UK Mobile Phone Alerts, (Flash SMS).
Defence Electronics & Intelligence
My expertise further extends into the specialized realm of Defence Electronics, focusing on RF and electronic component supply for Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence. I have been deeply involved in defence contracting, specifically in the supply, maintenance, and implementation of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) and advanced counter-surveillance technologies.
